Hi!

I have a T-Mobile G1 with Android 1.5 and my location does not get sent. I installed the program almost a month ago and since then I have never been able to successfully use MoosTrax. In my account appears the cellphone as registered but it never shows my location and in mobile client where it says Last Update there is a Never (but on the top of the screen I see the GPS-icon showing that it is currently sending my location). Is anyone else also having problems or it is just me?

If you have other GPS apps that run on the phone such as mapping start one of them up and let it lock in your location. Then go into MoosTrax and hit the Update Now button and see if it sends something. I use the blackberry client so I don't know where to tell you to look for the Update Now button - it should be in the same place you enter your login and password.

Other clients seem to have flakiness in that another GPS app has to be running to keep the GPS "awake" for MoosTrax to use. You might be the first or one of the first Android people so you may be charting new territory - although Chris may have one....

Would be interested to know if running another GPS app helps.

Thanks for your answer. In the Android version there is no Update button, but I tried as you told me (I used google maps together with latitude) and unfortunately it did not work. I am surprised because at the android market this application has 27 votes that means there are people using it already. What is even weirder is that the Account Status reports Logged in... but why it is not updating my location?

I have a blackberry bold but even on blackberry sometimes it does not update automatically.
As donb01 said having other GPS apps in the background helps but not necessarily. Lately mine always works without other app in the background. What i always do is to log out everytime I stay for long time inside a building. When I go out I log in manually and stay still for about one minute until it searches for satellites and I see the update marked on the phone. Other thing that will help a lot is to set high value number for required accuracy. Mine is 200. I had problems when it was less. Update when location change to 1 meter and update every 30 sec. Hope this helps.
